Metro Health Services Federal Credit Union
Remote Drive-up Addition

Project Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Completion Date: October 2001

Cost:  $250,600

The existing drive-up banking lanes at Metro Health Services Federal Credit Union on South Saddle Creek Road would back-up onto Saddle Creek , blocking traffic. The existing four lane drive-up could not accommodate their periodic high volume traffic. An additional four lanes and ATM lane were needed, but the site could not support the added lanes being attached to the existing building. Therefore, a remote detached drive-up station was designed using state of the art remote video cameras. The tubes for the teller system were directed overhead out of the existing building into a canopy past existing underground utilities, and then redirected underground into a large culvert under the existing drive and then back up into the new remote drive-up canopy. The construction of the new drive-up complex was completed, while maintaining the existing credit union’s drive-up services through the construction area.
